In December 2021, I will embark on the most challenging adventure of my life. I will be running the length of New Zealand aiming to break the Guinness World Record. The record currently stands at 35 day and 27 minutes. My goal will to be to complete the run in 21 days. That means running 100km every day!
I planned to do this run four years ago before struggling with a lower leg injury. The injury took many years to resolve and it was an extremely challenging time for me. It obviously wasn't the right time for me then. I'm now back to running, stronger and fitter than ever before, and now is the right time! In the past I've run longer distances and I've also run faster speeds, the beauty of this challenge will be finding the balance between the two. I'll be pushing myself to the absolute limit physically and mentally.
Making sure that everything runs smoothly, I'll have an epic support team with me. My team will always be by my side making sure that I'm hydrated, fuelled and feeling positive. They'll be travelling in camper-van which will also become my home for the three weeks.

With this run I'll be fundraising for two youth mental health charities as this is an issue very close to my heart.
I'll be raising money for Youthline, who work to support young people in New Zealand and Young Minds in the UK.
My goal is to raise NZ$21,000 per charity. This is $1000 per day or $10 per kilometre (per charity)!
Prioritising mental health is something that's very important to me. While I struggled with my leg injury my mental health deteriorated and I needed help. I was very fortunate to be surrounded by some fantastic people that supported me when I was down. Not everybody has someone they can turn to when times are tough so having services like these is extremely important.
Here is a very rough break down of where I'll be starting my run each day. This is all likely to change once I get started and distances vary each day.
