As a four times Guinness World Record holder, endurance athlete and artist, I've spent years pushing myself to the limit in challenging situations around the world. Now I share my stories to inspire and motivate others to find their limits.

Through skyrocketing highs, and deep lows I take the audience on a journey with me as I share my tales of adventures, tailored for your audience. As a motivational speaker, I share lessons of resilience, grit and determination, and moments of empowerment and humility through real and raw experiences.  There's no sugar-coating these journeys.  To achieve something spectacular you have to accept the good, the bad and the ugly.

"Emma's tales of her exploits and achievements left an entire audience slack-jawed in amazement. Just the physical lengths to which she had gone would have been enough to inspire the room, but the mental difficulties she experienced overcoming the kind of injuries that frustrated her attempts to continue stretching boundaries were incredibly moving. If she didn't have everyone who wasn't already galvanised to actually follow in her footsteps cheering for her own continuing efforts I'd be very surprised!"

Hugh Ferris, Sports Presenter
(Bury Sports Award Guest Speaker)

Emma demonstrated a remarkable level of determination and endurance that left a lasting impact on her audience.  Her journey was not sugar-coated, and her authenticity resonated deeply.

Speaking topic: Motivation

Achieving a world record isn't easy.  Having three of them isn't something you can get with luck.  It takes hard work, structure and dedication.  The road to attaining each of these Guinness World Records hasn't been smooth.  Just with any good adventure there's been many bumps in the road, each one teaching a lesson along the way.

I share my journey of these challenges to teach you the lessons I've learned the hard way.  I give you my tips to keep pushing when the going gets tough and everything I've learned over ten years of how to succeed in your goal.

- Teamwork
- Dealing with overwhelm
- Reframing setbacks

Emma is an excellent conversationalist and inspirational speaker. I loved how she openly and honestly shared her thinking process when facing some enormous challenges.  I found myself relating to how I could apply the wisdom Emma imparted in my own life and I have successfully done so since hearing her speak. Her accomplishments and talk have had a positive impact on my life and I would not hesitate at the opportunity to hear her speak again. Justin Hill
Speaking topic: Mental Health

Struggling with an almost undiagnosable leg injury for years left me immensely frustrated.  After a couple of years searching for the solution I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety.   Learning about myself and pulling through this part of my life is one of my proudest achievements.

I now see this as my superpower.  I've never experience any physical pain that's tested me as much as the internal struggle I went through.

As half the population will struggle with some mental health problems (according to Harvard Medical School) at some point in their lives, this is an important topic to discuss.

- It's not a sign of weakness
- Mind over matter, matter over mind
- Being present

Have you ever run on treadmill?  How bored were you after 20 minutes (if you made it that far)?  How many excuses were you making in your head as reasons to stop?

It took ten years of experience in endurance events to have the confidence to tackle the biggest test of mental strength and resilience... THE TREADMILL!!  Getting the Guinness World Record for 48 hours on the treadmill was the toughest mental challenge I've tackled to date.  I drew on everything I've learned to get through this.

To save you having to go through that torture, I share my secrets to overcoming massive challenges and staying strong when it gets tough.

- Reframing
- It takes a village
- How to stop the negative chatter

Emma left a room of 150 optometrists in absolute amazement at her physical and more importantly, mental triumphs over adversity. An inspiring athlete and remarkable human being. Her keynote speech at our awards gala will not be forgotten by any of our team. Her insights on preparation, resilience and recovery are invaluable takeaways for any audience.

What a treasure Emma is! Her story resonates across sport and sectors. Though one would assume there would be no link to Agriculture sharing about goal setting, creating a trusted team and knowing yourself is so deeply at the core of everyday for our West Coast Women in Agriculture as they ‘Sow Seeds for success’. Emma’s curiosity and determination was so inspirational.

I have always been intrigued by endurance athletes and record breakers. What are the mental and physical processes experienced by them when attempting these incredible challenges? Emma has an expressive storytelling ability, that captivates and immerses her listener in her story. She describes in detail the brutality and raw emotion endured by her and her team during this experience, also illustrating the highlights and sense of achievement gained along the way. Her storytelling skill also allows you to get a glimpse into the mechanics of her mind.

As Emma continues to smash world records, one cannot help feel in awe of all her accomplishments. She displays remarkable mental and physical capabilities and continues to inspire endurance athletes around the world.

“Emma Timmis spoke to our Rotary Club recently on her adventures running across Africa twice to raise funds for Charity. Emma is an extremely engaging speaker with a great story to tell and she kept us engaged throughout her talk. She has even found time to write and illustrate a children’s book about her exploits.”

Emma is a great speaker who talks about her subject matter with real passion and enthusiasm. She has an innate ability to draw the listener in and, when talking about her physical endurance challenges that she has conquered, Emma really helps the listener to imagine they are there with her experiencing every sensation and emotion alongside her. She is a fantastic, engaging speaker.

Amanda Lovett, virtual talk attendee

I have had the pleasure of interviewing Emma twice for the Tough Girl Podcast! The first time we discussed in detail her runs across Africa! The second time we caught up and learnt more about her experience of walking the Australian Alpine Walking track and also chatted about our experience of running Hadrian’s Wall at the end of August. Emma is down to earth, friendly, chatty and has so many top tips and awesome pieces of advice. Emma is a great role model for other women and I know she’ll continue to live her life as she chooses. I wish Emma all the success as she continues to have adventures and explore the world.
