A heart built from movement.
The inspiration for this drawing came from my mum as she is the most beautiful person I know. She loves lilac colours and lavender reminds me of her.
This piece began as a meditation on attention — on how something small, when multiplied, becomes powerful. Hundreds of tiny bees form the outline of a heart, each one individually drawn, each one part of something larger. At the centre, a single bee carries a small heart on its body — a quiet reminder that love is not loud, but it is everywhere.
From a distance, the shape is bold and simple. Up close, it becomes intricate and alive — loops, flight paths, and delicate details revealing themselves slowly.
Drawn in fine pen and colour pencil, this artwork celebrates connection, community, and the quiet strength found in togetherness. It’s a piece about collective energy — about how small acts, small movements, small kindnesses, can build something strong.
