I love running.  And my goal is to encourage others to feel this love too!

For me, coaching isn't just about setting the training schedule.  It's about finding what works for you and passing on my knowledge to help you grow.  Getting to know each client individually allows me to tailor a program that you'll love.  I enjoy finding the sweet spot between balancing your unique life and getting you to the goal you deserve.
Qualifications

In 2024, I completed the UESCA Ultra-Running Coaching Qualification to focus my coaching towards ultramarathons.  Whether you're looking to enter your first 50km race or your tenth 100 mile race, I've learned strategies to get you there.

About 20 years ago, when I was at college I studied Biology, Psychology and PE which built the foundation of my career.  I then went on to develop my knowledge of human performance by completing the NASM Accredited Personal Trainer Qualification and YMCA Level 2 Gym Instructor.

In my early twenties I solidified my passion for outdoor activities by completing qualifications in rock-climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, mountaineering and caving. With these skills I had a career in the outdoors for many years, mostly as a rock-climbing instructor.

With my new found love for education in my 40's, I'm continuing to study more on the topics that can best help my clients and my own progress in endurance sport.  I'm currently in the process of completing Menopause 2.0 - Training for Menopausal Athletes.

*There will definitely be more studying on the horizon as I want to continually advance my knowledge and understanding of endurance sport performance.

Personal Running Experience

I've been running competitively for nearly three decades, beginning with 'track and field' events for Derby Athletics Club (previously Derby Ladies AC) from the age of 12.  Ever since then running has been part of my life.  Sometimes a big part of my life and at other times there have been other priorities.  

Over the last 13 years I've mainly trained for trail races or big Guinness World Records.  

Guinness World Records

2024: 
'Greatest Distance on a treadmill in one week' completing 846.16km
2023: 'Greatest Distance on a treadmill in 48 hours' completing 340.36km
​2022: 'Fastest Crossing of New Zealand on foot' 20 days, 17 hours, 15 minutes and 57 seconds
​2017: 
'Longest Journey by Elliptical cycle in a single country'
