Do you dream of traveling somewhere by bike? Going on a cycling adventure? But missing the main piece of equipment? Well, look no further. I am donating the use of my bike to someone wanting to go on a journey sometime in 2016 between February and May. I hate the thought of anything being wasted. 'Sharing's caring' is one of my favourite phrases. So, as I will be out of the country traveling for the next few months I would like to see my bike not sitting in a garage rusting but out and about facilitating adventure! In the summer, I cycled from Manchester to the Dolomites and back on this bike, and it was the best thing I have done in my life. The biggest expense of the trip was the kit I needed. Not everyone can afford a bike, panniers, tents etc. I would love to help out someone that would otherwise not be able to complete an adventure like this. My budget after buying all the kit worked out at less than £5.00 a day and I am sure it could go lower.
You don't need to have dreams of leaving the UK or even your own county. Your adventure might be two days or two months. The ideas are limitless... ride to visit all your relatives, cycle Lands End to John O'Groats, make a lap of one of the national parks, tour a coastline... If you are interested in taking my bike on a journey, all you need to do is send me a message through my contact page, telling me when, where and why you are planning on going, and a little bit about yourself. If a few people apply that want to go away at different times then hopefully there is an opportunity for more than one trip to come from this. Entries must be made before January 15th. (Kit included: bike, panniers and handlebar bag, repair kit, tent, sleeping bag and mattress. All mine and all used but sharing is caring! All must be collected from Cheshire. I am 164cm tall and the bike fits me but will fit shorter or taller too.)

So do I, its a real shame for a strong bike to be sat doing nothing for a few months. Please share as much as you can. x

Thats great, get out there and give it a go. Don't worry about pitfalls. I wanted to ride with my brother who is cycling round the world so I started by meeting him in Istanbul and hiring a bike that is for cycling round the city, I strapped my gear to it and we cycled 600km across turkey. Never looked back.

Hey David, I think your plan sounds amazing. I am hoping to write more blog posts with tips etc but for now I would say just get out there, give it a go, make mistakes and you will quickly learn from them. Its all fun.

What a great idea. There is so much waste and duplication in our world. We're all sitting on items of value that others could benefit from. Thank you for your generosity, "sharing is caring" is a wonderful mantra,,,,,
